What’s on at Greenlord: September 2019
September at Greenlord Studios
Well, it seems that summer is over. It will be cooling down, and the seasons will be changing any day now. Josh and Jed will be happy to see the back of it, I will miss the sun and the heat.
Apologies for not posting an update for August. I was on holiday and was unable to post one at a suitable time. Fortunately, there is a lot going on this month, so hopefully that will make up for it.
In terms of work on this month, we are exceptionally busy. Both developers are currently outsourcing for a company based in Newcastle. This work has them both fairly busy, and is looking to continue for the foreseeable future. As well, there is a project potentially starting soon that we will be working with another development company to complete. This second project could be starting as soon as this week, and we are very excited to get started on it.
For events this month, there are a few things on that I should be attending. Tomorrow, the North East England Chamber of Commerce has a Chamber Local event happening. I will be attending, so I can get an idea of what the NEECC is all about and how it may help Greenlord. As well, on the 18th, I will be attending the DLExpo in Darling. I shall also be going to VentureFest Tees Valley on the 25th September. If you are going to any of these events, let me know, and I may see you there.
Finally, Josh and I will be speaking to some of the students at Middlesbrough college on the 17th to talk about some of our experiences with programming, running a development company, and working with app development. Also, on the 15th, the three of us will be judging a gamejam held at the Middlesbrough college for the students, so make sure to check our twitter for some of the work the students have done.
That’s everything for this month, quite a lot going on. Thanks for reading!
